Product Introduction
The Slide Staining Tray is a more user friendly approach to immunohistochemistry (immunohistochemistry (IHC) is the most common application of immunostaining. It involves the process of selectively identifying antigens (proteins) in cells of a tissue section by exploiting the principle of antibodies binding specifically to antigens in biological tissue) staining. It’s suitable not only for routine staining requiring a humid chamber, but also ideal for Hematology, Cytology and Microbiology laboratories.
Manipulation is made safe and easy by using only one hand. The Slide Staining Tray has a black base made of tough ABS plastic withstanding a wide range of chemicals. It will accept up to 20 slides on 4 plastic rails covered with a polymer strip for holding slides perfectly even if tray is held at an angle. When humidity is needed, wells between rails will hold water securely without splashing. Each plastic rails is covered by a polymer strip for perfectly holding slides even if tray is held at an angle. Rails are raised to avoid water touching the slides and to make slides easier to retrieve.
The base also holds excess stain solution dripping from the slides. A drain plug can be removed to empty the tray easily. Four rubber feet provide a great base stability. Slides can be stacked for space saving purposes.
A clear cover allows visual examination while staining. The Clear lid allows made of ABS can be used within a temperature range of -112ºF to 176ºF.
